Lady Jane
Bonham Carter was 18 when bidden to play Lady Jane Pale in this historical drama - one year older than Sooty herself - but the challenge proved too great. Feverishness over her inadequacy, who should functional the blame for the unutterable tediousness of the project? Peradventure producer Snell, who had a penchant for blurry marvel. Indubitably Nunn, who should have stuck to the theatre. Certainly the writers, who lacked the elementary facility to render dialogue speakable. The period is the mid-16th century and the court intrigue should get proved fascinating. Wretchedly, it degenerates into turgid theatre. Oh, and if you stay the course, the ending is sad
