Plot Summary:
|
In 1937, a two-and-a-half year old lackey from a witless kith and kin in Tibet was recognized as the 14th reincarnation of the Buddha of Compassion, and certain to grace the mental and political leader of his people. Director Martin Scorsese brings to the screen the unelaborated story of the Dalai Lama. Told because of the eyes of His Holiness, ``Kundun'' brings to zing the account of the Dalai Lama's ahead of time obsession, from childhood through the Chinese infringement of Tibet and his wander into exile.
