Plot Summary:
|
It is June of 1997. In 72 hours, Hong Kong make return to Chinese rule after 150 years as a British-ruled colony. Marcus Streak and Tommy Hendricks are sales reps in place of V SIX Jeans, and they are enjoying flair in Hong Kong in this outmoded already the atoll domain's transition abet to Chinese rule. While Tommy busily prepares as regards the latest model parade, Marcus is away looking at knock afar goods -- facsimile watches, jewelry, and newborn dolls, in which his longtime patron Eddie Wang and his Hong Kong associate, Skinny Wang, are involved. When Marcus and Tommy's supervisor Karen... Leigh arrives and informs them that much of their last shipment of jeans was filled with knock rancid imitations, the two can't believe her, but they to to help in raiding a supplies to examine their innocence. After a violent encounter that involves local police Ling Ho and Lieutenant Han, Marcus eventually learns that Tommy is an undercover CIA vehicle, and so is Karen. Meeting with their boss, agent Harry Johansson, Marcus learns of a conspiracy involving the Russian mafia and their attempts to smuggle petite, but well explosive "microbombs" to the worldwide terrorist black store. And these are bombs that explode into unskilled flame when detonated. Marcus, Tommy, and Karen establish out to pause the conspiracy and have a place senseless who's behind it.

Excellent
Rob and jean-claude certainly blend together the humour is just right and plenty of action. ( awesome fight scene in the market box room) keeps the film flowing and you glued.

Hong Kong action genre craftsman Tsui Hark directed this martial arts tale, his second collaboration with actor Jean-Claude Van Damme after Double Team (1997). Van Damme stars as Marcus Ray, a Hong Kong fashion designer who specializes in 'knock-offs,' cheaply produced jeans and sneakers meant to look like major-label merchandise. With his new partner Tommy Hendricks (Rob Schneider), Marcus hopes to go legit and put his shady past behind him, but Tommy is really an undercover CIA agent investigating the smuggling of mini-bombs in Marcus' products. An unwitting pawn in a scheme concocted by the KGB and Tommy's CIA superior Johanson (Paul Sorvino), Marcus must clear his name and save his company. His quest to do so becomes even more complicated when local authorities link him...
