Plot Summary:
|
Los Angeles narcotics detective John Kimble has long been after drug kingpin Cullen Crisp, who is a psychopath. After John arrests Cullen on a young man's sororicide, John is told that Cullen's ex-partner Rachel — whose testimony could be a key to putting Cullen away — is living in Astoria, Oregon, and that she has a son. John and his partner Phoebe O'Hara are sent to Astoria to set aside Rachel. Phoebe, a former school teacher, is assigned to go undercover as a kindergarten teacher at Astoria Elemental School, where Rachel's son is believed to be of the students. The problem repr... esenting John and Phoebe is the actuality that they don't cognizant of what Rachel and her son look like. When Phoebe becomes sick the private assignment is to enter on, John must take her place, consideration the initial misgivings of Principal Schlowski, who after all befriends John. On his maiden day, John meets first grade mistress Joyce Palmeri, whose son Dominic is one of John's students. As John spends months on this commission, he bonds with his students and introduces them to his pet ferret. The township's single mothers locate themselves falling for John. One of the students, Zach Sullivan, is a victim of physical abuse at the hands of his violent tempered father, who also physically abuses Zach's indulge. John tries to persuade Mrs. Sullivan to off Mr. Sullivan and crush charges, but Mrs. Sullivan is too afraid to do that. One afternoon, as Zach is leaving school on the side of the day, John finds a severe welt on Zach's back. John goes freelance, hits Mr. Sullivan, and says that he has no choice but to huddle charges against Mr. Sullivan. Schlowski calls John into her office and asks John how actual it felt to hit Mr. Sullivan, because Schlowski herself had evermore felt hitting Mr. Sullivan. John soon discovers that Joyce's real name is Rachel Crunchy — Cullen's ex-wife. And now, Cullen and his Siberian-blooded mother Eleanor Crisp have arrived in Astoria, and they are looking owing Rachel — and Dominic, the son that Cullen hasn't seen in three years. Kindergarten Cop
Arnie is a strong cop so pressing to bust Tyson that he goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher to contact his kid and estranged wife, who may be the only woman willing to aver against him. After years on the force he may well organize found his indomitable the other side: a class of five year olds. Neither his orientation (he hates kids and kids dislike him) nor his physique seems to help. The mixture of thriller, comedy and affaire de coeur story works surprisingly well and Ghostbusters director Reitman pulls all the right strings at the rightist repeatedly. Arnie's most best-selling try to undermine his tough-guy tiki.
