Plot Summary:
|
Hard times have fallen on Pacashau, Ga., but the townspeople from faith that the Divinity Church Choir command boost their spirits by winning a nationwide meet. The choir has ever made beautiful music, but instant, its two peerless ladies have discover a crusty note. Vi Rose (Leader Latifah) believes that a ritual cut is the passkey to supremacy, but G.G. (Dolly Parton) thinks tried-and-unvarnished means tired-and-dear. The two singers ought to find a consonant chord or jeopardy losing the whole shebang.
