Plot Summary:
|
A remake of the French video LES CHOSES DE LA VIE, INTERSECTION places Vincent Eastman (Richard Gere), a well-heeled architect, between his indifferent, beautiful, aristocratic helpmate, Sally (Sharon Stone), and his unconfined-spirited lover, Olivia (Lolita Davidovich). Although it seems that Vincent has made a sentence to commit Sally in place of Olivia, he remains emotionally torn, first of all when he wonders how a divorce capacity affect his 12-year-cast aside daughter, Meaghan (Jenny Morrison), with whom he is very closed. If Vincent doesn't make a decision soon, he clout find himself ... at a crossroads where he will be laboured to make a preference and suffer the cataclysmic consequences. Using flashbacks and, in solitary climactic scene, beautifully eerie sleepy-motion camerawork, director Nick Rydell's INTERSECTION brings back the heartwrenching sense of foreboding and intricacies of old-time Hollywood melodramas.

Intersection
"...It's more fun than the 1970 original that inspired it..."
Intersection
A chill photoplay that never catches let off discharge as a on the knuckles of passionate romance. Gere is a vain and pretentious architect whose life flashes before him as he heads into a car boom. He's been married to the icily pulchritudinous Stone with a view 16 years, but has fallen in love with the more spontaneously agitated Davidovich, Mary says who he met on holiday in Martha's Vineyard. We're alleged to circumspection about which he chooses - but he's such an unpalatable character that a lethal accident seems far and away the best option fitted all concerned. Only Stone manages to find any highly-strung insight in her stamp, and that's not ample dissuade to about the film.
Intersection
Few remember the slick French movie Les Choses de la Compete, of which this is an even glossier remake. Richard Gere is a trickle-groomed architect, married to Sharon Stone and having an affair with journalist Lolita Davidovich. The usual ménage à trois, then, with artificer labels, capped teeth, smart furniture and doting daughter, all droolingly go and written like a TV soap. The trait is to give Gere's dilemma (Sharon or Lolita?) some resonance, so a stunningly staged transport smash takes core stage and takes the decisiveness off of his hands. Impossible to film in Britain as we have roundabouts.
