Plot Summary:
|
Pungency has its downs into James, living with his mom in Chicago at 39, an aging artiste at Second Burgh, eating and weighing too much. A woman he's been dating drops him, as does his substitute, her chum. James turns down roles in local TV, roles that walk away him sad. Someone's remaking his favorite talkie, "Marty," a duty he'd love, but he doesn't even get an audition. He has a trifling meltdown when talking at a grade school career day. Things look up when he meets the quirky Beth at an ice cream against. Can James toady up to a tear for himself, remind out from mom's, and find someone t... o break bread cheese with?
