Ship's officer Larry Ellis is asked by the CIA to help infiltrate a forgery ring in France as he is almost a facsimile for a dead twice-crossing gold courier who worked as a replacement for the club. Ellis realises his individual is at jeopardy but that so is the permanence of the money supplies of the Western world.
