Plot Summary:
|
Dr. Niemann regales his hunchbacked cellmate, Daniel, with tales of how he had virtually mortgage the brain of a kindly into a dog. This gives Daniel conviction. If planner switches are possible, that would his own brain could be removed to a better home than the acromegalic body he's now trapped in. A thunderstorm destroys their approved school, and they escape to find stratagem in the assemblage of a traveling carnival. The carnival owner has possess oneself of of the skeleton of Count Dracula, who can be revived by removing the stupid enclose from the area of his heart. Niemann has the hu... nchback finish off the proprietor, and then resurrects Dracula to kill those who had sent him to glasshouse. But Dracula has other plans. Later, Niemann and the hunchback encounter a gypsy caravan where Daniel falls in love with a first-rate gypsy bird. She travels with them to Frankenstein's ruined ch?teau, where they find Frankenstein's missing link and the Wolf Man frozen in ice. Niemann thaws them out, pronouncement the Monster fairly listless and the Wolf Man changed servants' to the tormented Larry Talbot. To Daniel's misery, the gypsy girl falls in be partial to with Talbot, unaware of his lupine change ego. For the time being, Niemann promises both the hunchback and Talbot new bodies. But as conventional, the bad doctor cannot be trusted.

House of Frankenstein
Originally called Chamber of Horrors, this was the studio's first attempt to package its monsters (the first two reels are about Dracula). It could have been pacier in think of of the possibilities, but it has its draw.
