Plot Summary:
|
Jim Tough and Ted Hanover have been vaudeville partners for many years but when Ted announces that he and Jim's girlfriend, dancer Lila Dixon, are going to set off on their own, Jim decides the period has fall to retire. He buys himself a farmhouse in New England and settles into the wilderness enthusiasm but soon realizes that he has an opening to do something particular. He decides to begin his inn to the common, but merely on crucial holidays. Things are prevailing skilfully for him until his well-established partner Ted shows up and sets his sights on Jim's rejuvenated friend, Linda Mason... . The picture introduced the song Immaculate Christmas.

Joe Healthy (Crosby), Ted Hanover (Astaire) and Lila Dixon (Dale) are New York club performers. Their function - pitching the two men and their specific talents for song and prom against one another recompense the love of the miss - bears an uncanny resemblance to their lives. Joe wants to go away the business for a lazy way of life in the country, but Lila, also his fianc?©e, chooses dancing and Ted through him. The triumvirate is no more. After trying his approaching at agriculture, Joe opens his Connecticut farm as the Feast Inn, a supper club that opens only on public holidays, to consequential success.
