The lives of three children people - a rich trainee, a sweetheart from the "infelicitous side of the tracks" and her boyfriend - unexpectedly intersect during one fateful summer in the fictitious drama "Here on World." Kelley Morse (Chris Klein), who is cocky and brash, normally would not in any degree have crossed paths with the residents of a mundane town near his posh off the record teaching. But when he takes his coruscating new Mercedes out for a drive, he locks horns with some of the locals, including Jasper (Josh Hartnett). As Jasper's willful girlfriend Samantha (Leelee Sobieski) look... s on, Kelley and Jasper engage in a unsafe car race that turns disastrous, leaving a popular diner owned by Samantha's mother in ruins. Kelley and Jasper are sentenced to a creatively ironic but appropriate spanking: They should support rebuild the diner. Not only does this deflower Kelley's summer plans, he also essential board at the dwelling of his , Jasper. Kelley begins to fulfill his "sentence," but refuses to have anything to do with Jasper and his parents. When Kelley again encounters Samantha, the attraction is instantaneous and strong. Essential love blossoms in the Berkshire woods ("a little trace of heaven, here on earth," Samantha calls the placid setting), angering Jasper, who has known Samantha almost his entire life-force. These new feelings and the mawkish triangle that develops are only the beginning of a new journey for the purpose Kelley, Samantha and Jasper, as they ultimately make life-changing discoveries round themselves and each other.

Top Film, Trust Me!
Don't listen to any of the rubbish that some people have written... this film is surprisingly top notch!
I was expecting this film to be a usual run-of-the-mill 'chick flick' but the story is both beautiful and surprising. I won't spoil the film for you but lets say I had a few tears in my eyes at points... and I'm a grown (and straight if that makes any difference) man! RENT IT NOW!
boring tearjerker wannabe
I thought this would be a great movie - 2 of my favorite actors, Josh Hartnett and Chris Klein are in it and Leelee Sobieski is a good actress as well. Unfortunately I was wrong. I fell asleep twice, yawned uncountable times and was generally not impressed. This tearjerker wannabe can be given a miss
