Plot Summary:
|
In 1931 Paris, Anais Nin meets Henry Miller and his wife June. Intrigued not later than them both, she begins expanding her sensual horizons with her husband Hugo as kind-heartedly as with Henry and others. June shuttles between Paris and New York difficult to find acting jobs while Henry works on his in front larger manipulate, "Tropic of Cancer," a pseudo-biography of June. Anais and Hugo serve underwrite the list, but June is displeased with Henry's portrayal of her, and Anais and Henry have tons arguments in the matter of their styles of writing on a backdrop of a Bohemian lifestyle in Pa... ris.

Director Philip Kaufman followed up The Too much Lightness of Being with this intellectually erotic depiction of the bizarre relationship between author Henry Miller (Fred Ward), his wife June (Uma Thurman) and the writer Anaïs Nin (Maria de Medeiros). Based on Nin's diaries, it's a to a certain extent humdrum and pretentious film whose foremost interest instantly lies in its doff expel, which, as well as a babies Thurman, includes Richard E Grant as Nin's bland preserve and Kevin Spacey as Henry's friend.
