Plot Summary:
|
Heartbreakers is a wonderful film starring Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Pleasure Hewitt as a mother-daughter con team who gull upon filthy rich older gentlemen. The ability is simple: tourney man, charm manservant, wedlock man, organize daughter cicisbeo man, accuse man of infidelity, separate control, converge his wealth. Their latest mark, proper for case, is William Tensy (Gene Hackman), a gleefully filthy-mouthed well-known man who made his fortune in the tobacco business and ostentatiously sports the requisite hacking cough.
But then daughter Recto (Love Hewitt) d ... ecides to independently pull a con without her mother's assistance. She finds a prospect in a multimillionaire band P (Jason Lee), but then she starts to fall in love with him...and the whole jig begins to unravel, tons of laughs coming all along the way.

Sigourney Weaver? I keep waiting to see her make a bad film but I haven't found it yet. Heartbreakers is excellent.
