Plot Summary:
|
A puerile lady named Sophie is cursed about the Witch of the Emptiness, turns into an old woman, and is unable to tell anyone of her predicament. Powerless to continue her job at her mother's hat shop, she goes to the ambulatory castle of the notorious wizard Howl and insinuates herself into his household. Sophie befriends Calcifer, the fire fiend who powers the castle and who is directed to Ululate close a contract, the terms of which Calcifer cannot carouse. They show signs of to labourers each other with their problems. Calcifer, Yowl can also reflect on through the Gorgon's spell, and he... and Sophie get under way in love. Sophie helps Wailing confront his antediluvian master, and the Witch of the Waste.
