His innocence is proved and Judge Fenton invites Copper to the position of ambassador marshal to lift him to implement the law in the large area. Cooper accepts the bent and chases the vigilantes with the warrants of Referee Fenton. Meanwhile the gaffer of the lynchers, Captain Wilson, realizes... that they have planned committed three mistakes: they returned the rake-off rich Jed Cooper had paid for the beef in the club to get rid bad him; they hung an innocent crew; and they did not total their task.

Hang 'Em High
More fascinating as a fail station in Eastwood's rush than representing anything indwelling to its lawman/vigilante scenario,...
Hang 'Em High
"They hung the wrong man," ran the nonconformist tagline, "and they didn't clinch the job." His reticent persona already well-established courtesy of the Dollars trilogy, Eastwood here seeks revenge on the lynch which left him to swing. Taking the high ground granted him away his US marshall's badge, he searches allowing for regarding his vigilante foes through the moral maze that was the Romantic West. Vexed with justice in a sanctimonious world, this film is moody and malevolent but about no means magnificent, relying due to the fact that its heavyweight overdone drive on a conceivably endless roster of fearsome hangings. End Want with chaps, anyone?
