Funny and thought provoking film
Don't be put off by the negative reviews on this film, obviously written by people who don't actually like films that make you think about life. This is a great little film about someone who rather than face the problems in his life would rather chase the girl of his dreams in his dreams. Lucid dreaming and Penelope Cruz brings to mind Vanilla Sky but Freeman's character knows he is dreaming and wakes up to disasterous consequences. If you have ever been in a 'grass is greener' situation you would do well to watch this film. Funny and thought provoking can be hard to pull off but this film more than manages it. Great cast, great story, great film. Negative reviewers open your eyes.
Allentown
The story of a musician who finds his dream life with Penelope Cruz better than his real life with Gwyneth Paltrow. This reminded me of a few Woody Allen films, set in New York and with Paltrow doing a Mia Farrow impersonation. Martin Freeman is his usual self while Simon Pegg is a less appealing character than usual. Not very funny though with some interesting cameos. Don't expect too much and you won't be too disappointed.
Good Night, The
Garys been seeing the woman of his dreams, then wakes up and curses each time he spends toiling away on promo...
Good Night, The
Not many will be able to resist Martin Freeman's appealing pave turning or the lopsided Brit understanding that gives this fanciful confection a good fettle humorous core
