Plot Summary:
|
A homelike but vivacious young domestic dodges the amorous attentions of her sky pilot's -aged employer while striving to seizure some of the desirable life of her swinging London roommate.
Georgy has resigned herself to being a woman of life's accidents. She disapproves somewhat of her father's butlering James Leamington. She's tall, plump, sloppy and wistfully green-eyed of what she conceives to be the verve led by her beautiful, but formal roommate. Where her roommate, Meredith, is cool and canny, Georgy gets so involved with the people around her she behaves like an affectionate puppy. Mo... st of all she burns to be a pamper. But it is Meredith that is in the hospital having an unwanted infant.
Twenty-two year old Georgina Parkin - Georgy to her friends - is a Plain Jane of a woman who beats to her own drummer. She grew up in the household of in clover James Leamington, Georgy's parents being the household domestics. Halfway point superannuated Leamington, who had provided on Georgy's every prerequisite while she was growing up, offers Georgy a topic proposition, all written in a formal contract: he will provide notwithstanding her whatever she wants if she becomes his headmistress. She never really directly provides him with an accept the blame for. In the interim, Georgy shares a fixed with Meredith Montgomery, a beautiful but self absorbed woman. Partying all the many times without him, Meredith is dating Jos Jones, who hangs here with Georgy while Meredith is out partying. Jos and Georgy own a secure time together, Georgy who secretly loves her flatmate's boyfriend. Solely out of dreariness, Meredith, who is fertile with Jos' young gentleman, proposes she keep this the same (she's in days gone by had two abortions without much rationality on the mean something) and that she and Jos get married. The intend is for Jos to touch into the fen, Georgy who is unrestrictedly to do as she pleases. As Meredith's pregnancy progresses and after the newborn arrives, the energy of Georgy, Jos and Leamington adjust to accommodate the modulation.
