Plot Summary:

For the nonce PLAYING AT SELECTED THEATERS - A famous pianist hires a young music student as a page turner in Different York City. Later on, he bumps into the student and his old woman in Barcelona. In spite of the special lapses into taste, David Leavitt's fresh The Page Turner has been adapted with a mischievously seductive air before Catalan veteran Ventura Pons. The action centres on adroit music student Kevin Bishop's serpentine liaisons with classical pianist Paul Rhys and his overseer-lover, Allan Corduner. But contrasted with Bishop's discovery that he isn't concert calibre is trump up mother Juliet Stevenson's realisation of her son's sexuality and the neediness for them to re-adjust their relationship. Pitched perfectly between vulgarity and vulnerability, Stevenson's turn is the standout in this assured and relishably ribald chamber with.

Dull, set melodrama that is as artificial as it is uninvolving.
