Flower Drum Song has some lovely songs, some okay dance sequences, some nice sets, some really clunky dialogue, and a totally dubious plot line! The music is good, if a little restrained, and it is great to see an all-Asian cast giving their all as hyphenated-Americans treading a cautious line between their traditions and their new country.
