Great Cast, Great Film?
There's something about this movie that i like and i've had trouble placing it till now - the cast, they are absolutely brilliant and thats what really makes this movie work so well.
This movie, although not hysterically funny like American Pie is still funny, oh and did i mention that Jennifer Jason Leigh and Phoebe Cates bare some flesh. now theres a bonus!
Without Fast Times... there would be no American Pie
Moving and frequently hilarious this comedy/drama still stands as one of the most influential 80s teen movies, dealing with serious topics such as drugs, sex and pregnancy while still maintaining a healthy sense of humour. The cast list reads like a who's who of washed-out C-list actors and actresses, but Judge Reinhold, Jennifer Jason Lee, Pheobe Cates and the rest put in some strong performances. Sean Penn is especially outstanding, stealing every scene he's in thanks to his spot-on portrayal of Jeff Spicoli, a typical surfer dude who has some of the funniest moments and serves as a template for stoned teenagers in every film that followed.
Perfect for anybody who enjoyed Clueless, Ten Things I Hate About You or The Breakfast Club.
