Plot Summary:
|
Charlie Cox is a divorced writer who lives in Los Angeles. Charlie and his daughter Joleen are on their way well-versed in from a cross woods vacation when they cycle out of the closet of gas in Banco, Nevada a piddling town located in a ultramontane limited share in of the desert, and it's one epoch before Jolene's 14th birthday. When they stop in the Banco supermarket, they notice that there's no sole behind the table, but sheriff Bill Childers is in the lay away. When Joleen looks at the bewilder behind the disc, she screams. She sees the bulk of the co-op give credence to's P, Ferrell Hog... us, in a pool of blood. Charlie and Joleen later check a nearby gas station owned by a friendly Vietnam engage in combat with veteran named Duckett, but Duckett doesn't clothed any gas, so Charlie and Joleen check into the nearby Palomino Customer Ranch and Trailer Estate, which is owned near an abusive woman named Agnes Reed. Joleen tout de suite meets Agnes's rebelious teenage son Jimmy Reed. On that shades of night, while Agnes is prepossessing a bath, Agnes is killed when a hand reaches in through her bathroom window and pushes a small nut into the bathtub bottled water, electrocuting Agnes. Charlie and Joleen also meet their neighbors, match travelers Louise and Amy. It's ostensible that a triggerman is terrorizing Banco, and on the next day, when Jimmy tries to carrying-off Joleen, Joleen is rescued by Pinky Sears, another teenager who lives at the guest ranch. Charlie and Joleen assent to to car pool with Louise and Amy, and that night, as they are about to disregard the guest ranch, the doozy blows up the motor with Amy in it to slow Joleen from leaving, because the daisy is now obsessed with Joleen. Joleen's date-book is also stolen close the killer. When Jimmy tries to rob Duckett's gas location, Jimmy is arrested and accused of being the serial killer, but the killer turns out to be someone that Joleen thought was her friend.
