Plot Summary:
|
FBI Different Agent Sean Archer tries to mark a biological weapon placed in Los Angeles past a sadistic terrorist-in the service of-hire and ruffian intellect named Castor Troy. Archer has hunted Troy for the last 8 years, and is consumed by revenge because Troy is responsible on account of the death of Archer's son. To do this, Archer must "touch someone for" Troy's look using a surgical MO = 'modus operandi' to go undercover as Troy, but things go wrong when Troy assumes the agreement of Archer.

After a couple of attempts at transferring his unquestionable talent to Hollywood, Hong Kong action king Woo finally gets it right. Travolta plays FBI agent Sean Archer, obsessed with mercenary supervillain Castor Troy (Cage), the man responsible for the death of his son. When Troy is believed dead, Archer assumes his identity to stop a terrorist bombing, taking on his face with the help of advanced surgery. But Troy is merely in a coma, and when he revives, he finds Archer's face to hand. Wickedly inventive and consistently playful, Face/Off sets new standards for a genre which plays safe and predictable too often.
