Plot Summary:
|
Joel, the owner of an extract manufacturing spy, constantly finds himself in precarious situations that steadily worsen by the insignificant. Senior, his anon-to-be floor administrator acquires a serious injury in a machine malfunctioning accident. This afterward endangers the in fine being of his company. Right hand, his personal life doesn't fair much safer when he takes the counsel of his bartending intimate, Dean. Dean during a analgesic-induced brainstorming hearing suggests how to test his wife's faithfulness. Claudia PuigIn Extract, writer-director Mike Judge- creator of TV's animated series Beavis and Butt-head and King of the Hill as well as the 1999 movie Office Space- has fashioned his most accessible and mainstream adult comedy. This amusing ensemble comedy is getting a bigger push from its studio than did Judge's last effort, 2006's Idiocracy. While that film was a more biting social satire, it also was sloppier and less focused than Extract, which stars Jason Bateman as Joel, a frustrated and put-upon Everyman who owns a flavor extract factory.
