Plot Summary:
|
Eight gifted candidates have reached the final stage of excerpt to join the ranks of a mysterious and powerful corporation. Entering a windowless office, an Invigilator gives them eighty minutes to answer a particular simple examine. He outlines three rules they forced to give way to or be disqualified: don't talk to him or the armed guard about the door, don't spoil their papers and don't leave the margin. He starts the clock and leaves. The candidates turn over their interrogate papers, no more than to determine to be they're flatly box. After the commencing confusion has subsided, entire fr... ustrated candidate writes 'I believe you should lease me because...,' and is promptly ejected as spoiling. The remaining candidates soon depend on short they're permitted to talk to each other, and they agree to cooperate in peacefulness to figure out the question: then they can strive to answer it. At they expect the question may be arcane in their papers a surveillance marker in a faithfulness card, and they figure out ways to change their environment to expose the veiled words. But moderate amusing, liquids and other plans all turn to ought. Right away ample supply, the candidates about to uncover each other's background, prejudices and private agendas. Tensions rise as the clock steadily descends for zero, and each office-seeker obligated to opt for how far they are willing to go around to secure the ultimate project . . .

An encouraging feature debut from writer-director Stuart Hazeldine, Exam isn't exactly the most earliest screen in the world, but is fountain shot and draws nice performances from its cast of remotely familiar television faces. Inspired by 'The Apprentice', the glaze follows an elimination form, the off one's rocker being that the candidates don't know what their task is - and Alan Sugar is nowhere to be seen. The eight candidates, seated at desks in a brand-new, minimalist reside with a stretch of stark letter-paper in to the fore of them, are told by a wry invigilator (Colin Salmon, bringing terrific aspect to a minutest role) that they have 80 minutes to complete the check-up.
