Plot Summary:
|
Josh Pollack, a naive and pushy presswoman, is convinced the F.R.A.T., an elite operative within the Edison Police Department, is corrupted. Working on a homicide case, he begins to expose manifest which suggests that the entire justice system is willingly turning a blind eye to the abuses of the this effectiveness. When his living and that of his girlfriend are threatened from his research, he join forces with his editor, a straight away-pre-eminent reporter, and a repute private detective to bring down the F.R.A.T. and every one behind it.

Sneaked it into 4 stars with 7/10.
I guess when reviewing a movie much of your rating comes from expectations, here, despite a few big names, we expected nothing more than a reasonably paced action thriller with hopefully a few twists to keep you guessing, and thats pretty much what we got. Ok so the twists were for the most part quite weak but just about enough to keep the movie interesting, especially the first main twist which caught me out! (Few glasses of wine had been consumed) The acting was reasonable including that of Mr Timberlake who held his own nicely. The script was mostly basic yet enjoyable all the same. Timberlake plays a small time reporter who upsets the wrong people whilst investigating a special police units actions, its simple but in this genre effective. Crooked cops and politicians against good cop, journalist, and investigator!
Predictable story, easy to work out the plot, but well shot and acted.
An enjoyable 99 minutes.
Justin Timberlake was better than expected.
