Plot Summary:
|
Four boyhood pals in Derry, Maine, be up to together as far as something a pilgrimage to their favorite deep-rooted-woods chalet, Hole in the Wall. They've all got midlife crises: clownish Beav has love problems; the thinker wither, Henry, is slowly succumbing to the seductress melody of suicide; Pete is losing a contention fighting with beer; Jonesy has had weird premonitions ever since he got occur to by a buggy. Helps if you have read the book !!
Having recently read the book I was intrigued to see how such a complex storyline could be made into a film. In the end I think it is a reasonable job but if you hadn't read the book which goes into so much more depth and detail it will appear confusing and disjointed. As a piece of horror entertainment it is good, if you've read the book it's great to see it come to life !!
Gory but good
I haven’t read the book by Stephen King so I had absolutely no idea what to expect.
The name "Dreamcatcher" doesn't give any clues to what the film is about and I think is quite misleading.
I actually enjoyed this film and it maintained my interest for the whole 2 hours which seemed to go very quickly.
I enjoyed the question marks throughout the film, of which most of it got answered. Those that didn’t just got left to the imagination.
