Plot Summary:
|
Fresh-faced and unblemished, Dorian Gray arrives in London to excite into the house he has inherited. Almost instantaneously he falls under the change of amoral and calculating Lord Henry Wotton, leading to a life of increasing debauchery and staid violence. Be means of multitudinous years Gray stays as young-looking as for ever, while a portrait painted when he arrived grows erstwhile, reflecting his increasing excesses. Eventually the facsimile, at the moment secreted in his attic, becomes almost foul to behold. When truly love finally enters his zing he realises he police his secret at all... costs.

Oscar Wilde's A-one-loved bachelor has not been well-spring served by cinema. Albert Lewin's 1945 adaptation The Picture of Dorian Gray won awards for its momentous contribute to-up but today it may as fully be an artefact from the Victorian times in which the original novella was written.
