Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood
Scrambled gangsta parody that spoofs everything from Boyz 'N The Hood to The Exorcist. Written by and starring the Wayans brothers, who went onto make (more money with) Scary Movie
This benign parody of the films John Singleton and the Hughes brothers were making at the start of the 90s is infuriatingly vague about settling on its own identity. Too unfocused to work as meaningful satire, it's best taken as a series of deliberately daft sketches, some of which are more effective than others.
Ashtray (Shawn Wayans) is taken by his mom to stay in the 'hood with his pa (Tate), who's a couple of years younger than he is. Mom departs with a cheery "You know there ain't no positive black females in these movies," and Ashtray gets to hanging with Loc Dog (Marlon Wa...
Hilarious
This film is truly funny, in my opinion it's easily up there with the best spoof films made. A must watch for comedy fans.
