Director Wyler's interpretation of the Sinclair Lewis novel takes a frequently contemplative look at how the lives of two Americans are changed near European sensibilities. Huston is the self-made Yankee millionaire who takes his wife on the ostentatious tour of Europe, but en route they find that the seductions quarter in their way force them to attract a great look at their confederation. The mould are indubitably committed to producing some good work and the mistiness received a plethora of Oscar nominations (although no wins), but you may passion that caution had been thrown to the wind and it had been turned into a no-holds-barred comedy.
