Plot Summary:
|
It is 1950s Nevada, and Professor Vivian Bell arrives to get a separation. She's unsatisfied with her merger, and feels out of place at the ranch she stays on, she finds herself increasingly worn out to Cay Rivers, an downright and self-assured lesbian, and the ranchowner's daughter. The emotions released by their developing intimacy, and Vivian's insecurities about her feelings approaching Cay, are played in default against a backdrop of rocky landscapes and mother country and western songs.

Vivian (Shaver), an idealistic, is as rigorously panty hose wound as the bun that graces her hair. At 35 she's reeling at the spectacle of a Reno split and checks in at a Nevada respite ranch. Fall, bang, wallop she's the object of Cay's (Charbonneau) lesbian dote on and desire. Vivian takes an unconscionably long time to realise that she who hesitates may be unendingly strayed. Happily, the tomboy wins the heyday. An indie that's both character and intrigue led - so it doesn't just deliver a sermon to the converted. A spiky enter, with a tumultuous cuddle whereabouts, which is more than a nostalgia trip without considering the redneck 50s setting.
