Plot Summary:
|
A seven mile-wide asteroid is on the lean of colliding with Ground in a matter of days. But we are of a mind. Think again. Scientists have begun to build diverse caves undeserving of the earth in order to prevent the extinction of the human race. At unpremeditatedly, 800,000 people as well as 200,000 scientists and doctors are selected to stay in the caves in class to vulnerable the "Deep Hit."

Deep Impact
Once you accept that the makers of this exciting disaster movie equate the end of the Earth with the end of America and see 'God's country' as our saviour, then it makes for good entertainment. The story is straightforward - a vast comet is hurtling towards Earth and has to be destroyed. Since the rescue mission is being guided by old-timer Tanner (Duvall) and the country is led by President Beck (Freeman), the world proves to be in good hands. Meanwhile the pretty youngsters make a run for the heights and the old stagers (Schell, Redgrave) head for the bubbly.
