Death Wish V: The Face of Death
Charles Bronson's everybody-man cinematic crusade against lowlifes continues with another unnecessary result in the formulaic bloody vigilante series. Here, his fiancée, the rage designer Lesley-Anne Down, is slaughtered near her mobster ex-lover Michael Parks. Consummate dross, with transvestite henchmen and an acid bath barely livening up the formulaic violence. Bronson was 72 when he starred in this sequel and both the man and the creaking concept show their age.
