Plot Summary:
|
This consequence to the popular EC Comics parody in a jiffy again brings an anthology of Stephen King's tales to the screen. In Old Chief Wood'nhead, a dime store Indian comes to life and exacts bloody retribution on those who murdered its P; The Raft details four teenagers descent into scourge as they are stranded in the middle of a lake patrolled by a carnivorous gelatin mutant; The Hitchhiker tells the tale of a woman's ruinous trendy with destiny after she runs down a nightime hitcher. Creepshow 2
A three-part horror anthology sequel directed by Dawn Of The Dead cinematographer Michael Gornick. The writing of Stephen King and George A Romero is in there somewhere
Even by the standards of its predecessor, Creepshow 2 was a slipshod production. The three stories that make up the film were left over from a batch of 10 tales that had originally been considered for the 1982 original, Creepshow. Stephen King had little to do with the writing of the screenplay, which was largely undertaken by George A Romero. Romero in turn relinquished the directorial reins to Michael Gornick who had never made a full feature before. The budget was just $3 million, there was a tight 60 day schedule and one of the chief special effects men, Ed French, was sacked halfway...
