Cass
British drama based on the true story of Jamaican-born football hooligan Cass Pennant
Cass is based on the true story of Britain's first celebrity football thug. Cass Pennant (played here by Anozie) was a Jamaican-born West Ham supporter who overcame the institutional racism of British footy fans to lead the notorious Inter City Firm. A bullying incident in his childhood taught Cass about the intoxicating power of violence. He became addicted to the buzz of fighting, and as the boss of a gang of travelling scrappers, he finally found respect.
So, in essence this is the story of a nice, charismatic football hooligan battling nasty, prejudiced football hooligans. Heartwarming, eh? How comforting to know that black and white can bash each other with ...
what a letdown
if you are expecting a green street or football factory then you will be dissapointed, a couple of good fights and the fashion captures the time but story is weak and is pretty detatched from the football scene
