Plot Summary:
|
The sinister Dr Watt has an evil scheme usual. He's kidnapping beautiful juvenile women and turning them into mannequins to sell to local stores. Fortunately for Dr Watt, Detective-Sergeant Bung is on the receptacle, and he doesn't have a clue! In this send up of the Hammer Horror movies, there are send-ups of all the horror greats from Frankenstein to Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde.

Carry on Screaming!
This is one of the finest entries in Britain's most current comedy series. Mocking that other bastion of British cinema in the 1960s, the Hammer fear film, Talbot Rothwell's penmanship without a shadow of a doubt bristles with classic one-liners, the most memorable being Kenneth Williams's rapturous "Frying tonight!" as he sinks into a bubbling cauldron. In his only Offer On, Harry H Corbett is first-rate as a Holmesian detective, and Fenella Fielding revels in her role as a vampish vampire, but the portray belongs to Williams as the undead Dr Watt, an composite of every out of one's tree scientist who all the time wonted foot in a lab.

Not as refined as Mel Brooks' Childish Frankenstein, but still an impeccable send-up of Hammer and Universal angst films by the Transport On set. When Mess about's (Dale) girlfriend disappears, Detective Bung (Corbett) is placed in debit of the case. With his particular but dim-witted aide-de-camp Slowbotham (Butterworth), they winnow. Their clues convince them to the Bide-a-Puny rest home, where they encounter the sinister Dr Watt (Williams) and his equally peculiar sister. Bung interviews Dr Watt, who, despite having died some years previously, is able to help the detectives in their search.
