Plot Summary:

The story of the hook-up of England's Crowned head Arthur to Guinevere is played out amid the pagentry of Camelot. Without thought Joshua Logan's vapid staging, this royal screen version of the Arthurian euphonious by Lerner and Loewe soundless pierces the heart in Excalibur fashion. Vanessa Redgrave as Guenevere convincingly enthrals both King Arthur (Richard Harris) and Lancelot (Franco Nero), and us. The stars may not be certainly tuneful, but they compensate benefit of that with their dramatic and pathetic sorting out of the glorious songs. This ideal the human race corrupted sooner than passion makes the Sean Connery/Richard Gere rendition Knight look little more than a absurdity.
