CB4
The rise and fall of knock supergroup CB4, their name taken from the room lump number that hint rapper MC 'Albert' Gusto (Rock) pretends to bear served his criminal occasion in. The 'tick off Spinal Tap-tap' is an obvious identify as, but there are unavoidable parallels as the obscure follows a 'rapumentary' being made about the band. Davis is less focused than Reiner was with his targets, though, and ends up irresistible on too much, having a pop at the effort and its critics. Partly scripted by Nelson George, the authority on cool caper, the smokescreen is not without moments of insight, and there are certainly sufficiently gross-wrong gags to incarcerate you watching.
