Plot Summary:
|
Agnes Hoary lives in a slight motel in Oklahoma. Her life is what it is. She works at a honky-tonk. She has a lesbian friend. They do coke sometimes. She needs a gentleman's gentleman like a hole in the head, she says. Her ex-quiet, Jerry Goss, now in prison, was no prize. One night, her phone keeps ringing, and when she picks it up, she at best hears breathing on the other termination. Agnes is annoyed. It necessity average that Goss is out. Her friend brings over a gazabo. He's good looking, a speck inactive. He knows his comments nearly the regime and about how he can "pick up on things" p... resent people improbable. He ends up spending the night on the couch. He assumes Agnes require hate him like most people do. But she doesn't, barely the opposing. She won't reveal it, but she needs someone. The rib's big name is Peter Evans, and he'll be the one who finds the aphid in her bed. And he'll soon have a theory on where it came from.
