Adapted from the book nigh David Forward Wallace, Brief Interviews with Vile Men tells the fortunes of Sara Quinn, a graduate student in anthropology who's formerly larboard feeling lost after her boyfriend breaks up with her and offers toy exegesis as to why. With her dissertation looming, Sara begins a project to interview men, all sorts of men, trying to unearth the mystery of their bizarre behavior. Based on the 1999 lyrics of shortened stories via the late David Foster Wallace, the film takes a grim, trenchant and darkly hilarious look at relationships from a man's point of view.
