Bride of Re-Animator
Nowhere coming as impactful, humorous or fresh as the original HP Lovecraft-based cult flicks Re-Animator, director Brian Yuzna's gloriously grisly sequel (he produced the cardinal ride) sadly ventures more into precept Frankenstein turf. Jeffrey Combs is good value as Herbert West, the mad doctor with the luminous green serum that revives gone for a burton tissue to create a living woman excuse of assorted body parts (the feet of a ballet dancer, the womb of virgin and so on). This has the usual dire consequences. Gruesomely over-the-top, with a nightmarishly surreal climax.
