Plot Summary:
|
Based on true incidents, a south Indian Hindu man falls in love with a Muslim woman--taboo in the selfish village from which they hail. They marry against family wishes and the gas b hurry to Mumbai, where he works as a reporter for a large daily newspaper. Eventually, the span has look-alike boys. The rest of the screen is set during the December 1992-January 1993 period when the Crowd Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid controversy raised faithful edginess in Mumbai and other parts of India, which sparked rioting and violence. Shekhar Mishra Narayan and Shaila Bano are in love and poverty to marry. The only problem is that Shekhar is a Hindu and Shaila is a Muslim.
