Plot Summary:
|
In the 1870's, U.S Marshal Mike S. Blueberry tries to stop Wally Blount, the people who killed his girlfriend, from getting to a stockpile of gold hidden in Indian territory. On his way, he meets Prosit, a German villain on a persistent objective to find gold in the Superstition Mountains.

Brilliant
Like the previous reviewer, I had to get this DVD from abroad. However, mine came from France and features only French subtitles (meaning some swift translation work was needed for the quarter of the film that isn't in English). This didn't detract from the film at all though. It perhaps even enhanced it. This is a western like no other. The lines between good guys and bad guys are blurred as Mike Blueberry tries to mediate a tense situation between the town he marshalls and the nearby Indian tribe with whom he lived for several years. Hidden gold drives both sides but all is not as it seems. This film is gripping, visually amazing, and regularly delivers the unexpected. It also features someo f the best halucination scenes you'll see on film.

In years to come this film will rightly be recognised as the brilliant masterpiece that it is.
This isnt just another cowboy film. This is an exploration of conciousness and reality and so much more.
Every scene is beautifully shot, and the music alone is worth the rental price.
This film defies classification. I had to get my copy imported from the U.S. Why this film hasnt had a uk release yet just doesnt make sense. Do yourself a favour and get hold of this film anyway you can.
