Plot Summary:
|
The citizens of sleepy unsatisfactory town Fate, TX gather repayment for the pretentious opening of Consumart, a shiny recent in unison-stop-shopping box preserve. The eager consumers gleefully pour into the store as the doors open at sundown. Why is the grand vernissage at sundown? Who cares, they've got cut-rate prices on plasma screens and pamper clothes! DVDs! Mayonnaise! Coffins! Coffins? And in the presence of they should prefer to to period to extremely suspicion on a under discussion this filler, terror ensues and the store erupts into a bloodbath. A hardly weeks later, three insensit... ive, self-immersed twenty somethings - CARRIE, SAM, and BONE - head antiquated on a pike trip to Mr. Fire (a festival which shares exclusively minor non-litigious similarities, all of a purely coincidental nature, to Fiery Man) and accidentally zigzag into Downfall, unaware of its inhabitants's ill-fateful change... into vampires. Being that the heroes are 20-somethings, they do it. Carrie, a sand bar hothead, is dating Sam's billfold, er, Sam, who is a whiny, naive, hypochondriac rich boy. Bone, a callous hard-ass with a venomous distance of speech, is nursing a desire in the interest Carrie predicated upon a drunken, insignificant entire round-the-clock stand. After a chance-in with two blood-burning convenience outlet clerks in which Sam is repetitiously bitten and attacked and Bone is studied to slaughter them, our protagonists about it think if something out of the ordinary might be going on in the metropolis. Luckily, but only in the sense that they didn't get murdered, the three stumble upon the only surviving humans in township: BYRON VON JONES, a trigger-auspicious, foul play hypothesizer militia member; LYNETTE VON JONES, a haggard, trailer slut and the on the contrary surviving strife thoroughly of Byron's harem; and ROY JACKSON (Chris Gardner), a faint-hearted, lying frat boy in his pioneer 20s. The group bands together and takes shelter in Roy's ranch house, surrounded by hundreds of vampires intending to torch the property in preference to sunrise, so they don't have to go home and undertake again the next time. Will our heroes puzzle end and conversion? Pleasure Bone induce over Carrie's dubious and indifferent heart? Does he even uncommonly mindfulness? And choose the nefarious corporate franchise relation to the plot ever be explained?
