Great war film with very little praise from critics!
This is a great Vietnam war film starring 2 very great actors; Gene Hackman and Danny Glover. Surprisingly it wasn't listed as 1 of the greatest 100 warfilms which was recently screened on Channel 4. I would defiantly state this in my top 20. With realistic action sceens, a great and original plot which keeps you wondering if it's going to end good or bad! Watch it!
Bat*21
Here's an offbeat thriller that never quite realizes its potential. Firth is a movie anorak running a seedy cinema in Buenos Aires. To make ends meet, he hires out a room in his flat to Bochner. Of course, it wouldn't be a thriller if one of them didn't happen to be as loony as a fruit bat in an abattoir, and in this instance it's Bochner, who gets to chew the carpets meaningfully. Initially, his menacing attractiveness is put to use as he seduces everyone else in their apartment block, but then things turn nasty and Firth realizes what the audience has seen coming in the first half hour.
Bat*21
Effective and suspenseful stage show of the mishmash and maxim expediencies of in combat, based on a true story.
