Basket Case 3: The Progeny
Ten years on from the el-cheapo ogre movie which introduced Duane (Von Hentenrynck) and his basket-living brother, Belial, and two years on from the supplement, director Henenlotter rides again. Duane is now separated from his disgusting brother, who has headed to Granny Ruth (Ross) for sanctuary and the emergence of his issue aside Eve. Despite the minimal budget of the to begin in the series, it had a uncommon freshness and poignancy which is absent from its trenchant successors. There is a report in the movie about tolerance, but the nastiness obscures that too.
