Barefoot in the Park
In this ravishing comedy, adapted close Neil Simon from his hit Broadway show, Robert Redford (who appeared in the the West End play) and Jane Fonda star as the young married couple attempting to accomplish newly wedded gaiety. Redford is a gratification in a reasonably rare jocular role, nonetheless Mildred Natwick wellnigh steals the expose as Fonda's ma. It's handled superbly by director Gene Saks (he also made The Odd Team a few), who maintains the spoil and a astir pace until about half an hour from the end.
Barefoot in the Park
Breezy but overlong adjustment of a stage court which succeeded to the core audience response to its united-liners, which on the screen now concur with brashly. The people are nice, though.
