Plot Summary:
|
Anthony Hopkins and Chris Astonish unite up in the action-packed buddy flicks Harmful New Zealand. When CIA undercover operative Kevin Pope is killed during tense negotiations an eye to a atomic weapon, force Gaylord Oakes (Hopkins) recruits the restrain's identical brother, Jake Hayes (Their heels), to put his situation and avert the bomb from getting into the wrong hands. The problem is that Hayes, a streetwise kid who scalps tickets and hustles people playing chess in the parks, didn't even conscious he had a twin--and now he has not nine days to learn to impersonate his impeccably dressed, well-educated, far-trained cause kinsman. Rock is funny in this fish-dated-of-drench story as Hopkins tries desperately to metamorphose him--something he considers to be an impracticable mission. ... Joel Schumacher, the director of such well-regarded films as TIGERLAND and FALLING DOWN, ups the demeanour quotient as Oakes and Hayes and their determined crew (including Gabrielle Macht) travel to locations ranging from Prague to New York to bail someone out the life. Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, from NYPD Indelicate, plays Hayes' love interest, and Peter Stormare is the evil Vas. Hopkins and Her manage a huge matched set; Hayes is as loose as a goose, and Oakes is as constricting as a drum. But as they get to advised of each other--and get thrown into dangerous state of affairs after hazardous situation--they both discover a little something about life and taste for.

Bad Company
Late in Bad Company, maybe too late to make much of a difference, Chris Rock is finally permitted to rear back, let fly and take control of the screen. This long-awaited electricity comes just after John Slattery, as a smug, cold-fish CIA official, patronizes Rock's Jake Hayes, a street hustler from Jersey City pressed into spy duty that's placed him in harm's way.
Rock's character unloads steaming bricks of inspired vitriol against Slattery and his cronies for this whole nerve-racking situation, persuasively arguing at one point that if a woman had heard that Saddam Hussein was sleeping with her husband, she'd find the Iraqi leader faster than the CIA.
This is the fire-breathing, up-to-the-minute iconoclasm that made Rock the preeminent stand-up satiri...
the worst film i have ever seen!!
all to often people write reviews to shock and think that by having strong views it means their opinion is more valid! this is not one of those times.. this film is truly awful! whilst being a huge Tony Hopkins fan, this film was clearly made to make some quick money! the storyline is awful, the action scenes laughable!
if you are looking for a nights entertainment though.... sit and watch this film whilst trying to find all the editing blunders!! (i counted about 5 on the first, and only watching) the movie looks worse than a badly stitched sweat shop quilt! the scenes don't run smoothly into eachother!! if you think i'm joking have a close look! honestly it is a farce!
