Superb - absolutely superb.
Why anyone has rated this less than 4 is beyond me. This is one hell of a film. Superbly acted, brilliantly written it shows Sean Penn as the actor he can be. If you love thrillers then you'll be on your seat with this one. Every kick in the head this guy gets you feel. Rent it.... NOW!
Assassination of Richard Nixon
Excellent - highly recommended. Emotive, heartfelt, desperately sad and utterly convincing, this film sees Sean Penn turn in the performance of his career.
This may have been said countless times about an actor who continues to turn in 'worthy' performances (whilst keeping a keen eye on the Oscar nominations), but in this case it really is true. The subject may be gloomy - a lonely man's descent into depression, and ultimately madness - but this drives the film's message through with incredible force. A truly amazing piece of work.
Not to be missed.
