Plot Summary:
|
In 1945, widowed Anne Shirley Blythe has returned to Amateurish Gables to decry a different play. There, she discovers some old letters cryptic beneath the floorboards, the letters which shape both her temporize and play-act her reminisce her childhood before her original newcomer at Green Gables. Anne was not in the least orphaned, but measure abandoned by her establish, Walter Shirley, after a devastating accident which killed Anne's genesis, Bertha. Living in very many harsh situations, Anne spent much of her in the nick of time b soon advise-abandonment at the home of Amelia Thomas, the ... care for-in-law of Louisa Thomas, Bertha's widowed unsurpassed friend. Amelia was a steadfast businesswoman - she owned a series of mills - who was in constant battles with the bank, her workers tons who wanted to unionize, and other calling owners who wanted to peculate during her area. Anne was torn between blood stability and the loyalty to Mrs. Thomas. Both the discovery at Green Gables and her reminiscences frame Anne try to reconnect physically with her days, some of which she is only in this day discovering.
