Amityville 3-D
After exposing a doublet of counterfeit spiritualists based in the notorious Hunger Holm metropolis, newsman Tony Roberts laughs at the legend and moves into the famous cursed Amityville house. Almost immediately, unknown manifestations occur, resulting in unexplained deaths number his workmates and family, as he eventually uncovers a gateway to agony in the basement. Decent inimitable effects — rendered from the outset in highly effective 3-D — dovetail neatly with impresario Richard Fleischer's creation of a creepy, claustrophobic mood. A issue Meg Ryan has a small role as a spooked adolescent.
